Fire Prevention Lieutenant - Construction

Position Summary: 
 The Fire Prevention Lieutenant’s primary duty is supervising, evaluating, and maintaining a high-quality, cost-effective and efficient development and construction program for the Department.   
• Requested and mandated inspections  
• Fire code education and enforcement
• Fire origin and cause investigations
• Fire and life safety education as appropriate
• Review of building development/construction plans and permit requests
• Direct supervision of fire prevention specialists and fire prevention permit technician 
 
Immediate Supervisor: 
The Fire Prevention Lieutenant reports to the Deputy Fire Marshal.
