Deputy Fire Marshal I

The Deputy Fire Marshal I is responsible for fire prevention, code enforcement, inspections, plan review, permitting, and fire investigations to support the protection of life and property within the Durango Fire Protection District.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible, hourly, non-exempt position working up to 40 hours per week. The normal schedule is Monday through Friday. This position also serves on a rotating weekly on-call schedule for fire investigations.

This position will remain open until filled. Interviews will be scheduled with qualified applicants following review of application materials.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening.
